SUMMARY:O.A.R. with Special Guests Gavin Degraw & KT Tunstall @ Andrew J. Brady Music Center
DESCRIPTION:Legendary rock band O.A.R. has announced the O.A.R Three Decades Tour\, an expansive North American run celebrating the band’s remarkable three-decade journey. In celebration\, O.A.R. has released a brand-new single\, “Where We Are Right Now\,” available today on all streaming platforms – listen HERE. O.A.R.’s newest track delivers their signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and uplifting energy\, capturing the spirit of their journey as they launch their milestone anniversary tour. \n“When we started playing songs together in a basement in Rockville\, Maryland in 1996 we had big dreams of being a real deal touring band. We imagined playing our songs throughout the country\, living life on the road\, telling our stories to the world\, “said frontman Marc Roberge “The fact we’ve gotten to live that life for the last 30 years is a testament to the power of our audience. This tour is our way of saying thank you – to every fan who made our dreams come true. We can’t wait to see each and every one of you out there on the Three Decades Tour.” \nFeaturing all of the band’s career defining hits and a dynamic lineup featuring special guests Gavin DeGraw\, and KT Tunstall\, the milestone tour will bring O.A.R.’s renowned live show to amphitheaters\, arenas\, and landmark venues across the U.S. including a stop in Cincinnati\, OH at The Andrew J Brady Music Center on Friday\, September 4. Watch the band’s tour announcement video HERE. \nFormed in Rockville\, Maryland\, in 1996\, O.A.R. includes Marc Roberge (lead vocals\, guitar)\, Richard On (lead guitar\, backing vocals)\, Chris Culos (drums)\, and Jerry DePizzo (saxophone\, guitar\, backing vocals). The band has grown from high school friends jamming in basements to one of the most enduring live acts in modern rock. Over the last thirty years\, O.A.R. has sold out Madison Square Garden twice\, headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre more than a dozen times\, earned multiple Platinum and Gold certifications\, and built one of the most passionate fan communities in music. This tour will see them perform across the nation’s most celebrated venues including The Greek Theatre\, Red Rocks and Jones Beach. \nLast month\, O.A.R. celebrated the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Stories of a Stranger with a deluxe reissue\, revisiting the era that produced hit singles like “Love and Memories\,” “Lay Down\,” and “Heard the World.” The release set the tone for an anniversary year that will include new music\, collaborations\, and archival content chronicling the band’s 30-year evolution. Stories Of A Stranger (20th Anniversary Edition) is coming Friday\, December 5 with 4 new bonus tracks – pre-order HERE. \nAbout O.A.R.: \nIt’s unbelievable that O.A.R. are still together thirty years since their first gig at an eighth grade talent show\, but these musicians are no strangers to “unbelievable.” In fact\, they’ve quietly shattered expectations at every turn over the last thirty years. Their journey may have started in Maryland\, but it’s taken them around the world with multiple sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks Amphitheatre\, north of 1 billion streams\, and multiplatinum success. Creating an expansive catalog beginning with 1997’s The Wanderer\, they earned RIAA Gold certifications\, three Top 15 Billboard 200 debuts\, and collaborated with everyone from Robert Redford and Goo Goo Dolls to Wiz Khalifa and DJ Premier. Their latest album\, The Arcade\, features the fan favorite “In the Clouds.” O.A.R. members\, Marc Roberge and Jerry DePizzo\, are also founding partners of the Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City\, Maryland\, a world-class\, multi-day celebration of music and community. Working alongside and driven by their talented partner Tim Sweetwood and his team\, they helped create a festival that has quickly become a cornerstone of Maryland’s cultural calendar\, making a lasting positive impact on the community. “The true reward isn’t just in the music\, it’s in the way it uplifts the community and shines a light on the great state of Maryland\,” says Jerry DePizzo. Through their charity\, Heard The World Fund\, O.A.R. have raised millions for education\, sustainability\, and pediatric cancer causes. Heading into their 30th year in 2026\, Marc Roberge\, Richard On\, Chris Culos\, and Jerry DePizzo are still having a blast as brothers—and it shows every time they take the stage.

SUMMARY:Squeeze\, Adam Ant\, & Haircut 100 @ Rose Music Center @ The Heights
DESCRIPTION:SQUEEZE \nWITH ADAM ANT AND HAIRCUT 100 \nROSE MUSIC CENTER AT THE HEIGHTS \nFRIDAY\, SEPTEMBER 4\, 2026 \nTickets On Sale Friday\, May 8 at 10AM \nHUBER HEIGHTS\, OH (5/5/2026) – This Fall\, Squeeze return to North America for a major tour with Adam Ant and Haircut 100\, bringing one of the UK’s most beloved songbooks back across the Atlantic at a moment of renewed creative momentum. The 2026 tour includes a stop in Huber Heights\, OH for a performance at Rose Music Center on Friday\, September 4. \nTickets will go on sale to the public beginning at 10AM on Friday\, May 8 at Ticketmaster.com and the Rose Music Center Box Office. \nMarking 50 years together\, Squeeze’s new album Trixies is both a revelation and a full-circle moment. Drawn from songs Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook first wrote as teenagers in 1974\, the record reimagines a lost “concept album” set inside a fictional nightclub—complete with vivid characters\, shadowy storylines\, and the sharp observational detail that would later define their work. Once shelved due to youthful limitations\, these songs have now been fully realized decades later\, capturing the raw spark of their earliest collaboration with the confidence and craft of seasoned masters. This precocious collection of songs – under the guiding production hand of Squeeze’s bassist Owen Biddle (The Roots\, John Legend\, Al Green) – finally gets to enjoy its moment in the spotlight. \nPraise for Trixies positions Squeeze at a rare creative peak\, with SPIN calling it “the duo’s personal masterpiece” and marveling at “the ambition” and “a swathe of great moments.” FLOOD hails Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook as “one of the great songwriting duos of their time\,” while Brooklyn Vegan notes that the album captures their signature style already fully formed—“complex melodies that nonetheless sound effortless” and “a youthful energy…that marks Squeeze’s best records.” Elsewhere\, SPILL calls it “a brilliant step back in time” that still feels strikingly current\, and PopMatters praises its “immersive” world\, concluding that Trixies proves the band “were always destined to be formidable artists.” \nSqueeze’s enduring appeal\, from classics like “Up The Junction\,” “Tempted\,” and “Cool For Cats” to a catalog embraced by artists as wide-ranging as Erykah Badu and The Shins\, their songwriting has long bridged generations. In recent years\, a revitalized lineup has transformed that legacy into a live show widely regarded as one of the strongest of their career—dynamic\, sharp\, and newly resonant with younger audiences discovering the band through streaming. \nWith Trixies sparking a fresh wave of creativity—and more new material already waiting in the wings—Squeeze step into this North American run not as a legacy act\, but as a band in a genuine late-period surge. \nABOUT ADAM ANT \nAdam Ant is one of the defining figures of new wave\, rising to fame in the early ’80s with Adam & The Ants and a string of era-defining hits including “Antmusic\,” “Stand and Deliver\,” and “Prince Charming.” Blending Burundi-influenced rhythms with glam swagger and punk energy\, he became a central figure of the MTV generation\, later achieving solo success with “Goody Two Shoes\,” which cemented his status in the U.S. \nWith a career spanning over four decades\, Ant’s influence extends across music and culture—impacting artists from alternative rock to industrial\, while also building a parallel career as an actor. His ANTMUSIC tour celebrates that legacy\, drawing from every era of his catalog and reaffirming his place as one of pop’s most distinctive and enduring performers. \nABOUT HAIRCUT 100 \nHaircut 100 are a British pop group formed in 1980 in Beckenham\, London\, led by frontman Nick Heyward alongside Les Nemes and Graham Jones. Rising quickly in the early ’80s\, they became one of the era’s defining pop acts with four UK Top 10 singles—including “Love Plus One\,” “Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)\,” “Fantastic Day\,” and “Nobody’s Fool”—and their platinum-selling debut album Pelican West. \nAfter an initial burst of chart success and international touring\, the band split in 1983 before reuniting decades later for a series of celebrated live performances. In recent years\, Haircut 100 have returned to the stage and studio\, reconnecting with audiences across generations while continuing to build on their bright\, melodic legacy\, with new material and their first album in over 40 years\, Boxing The Compass\, on the horizon.

DESCRIPTION:The Empress of Soul Gladys Knight announced her return to Cincinnati\, OH for a performance at Taft Theatre on Friday\, September 11. \nABOUT GLADYS KNIGHT \nThe great ones endure\, and Gladys Knight has long been one of the greatest. Very few singers over the last sixty years have matched her unassailable artistry. SUMMARY:Helado Negro @ Memorial Hall
DESCRIPTION:HELADO NEGRO \nMEMORIAL HALL | FRIDAY\, SEPTEMBER 11\, 2026 \nTickets On Sale Friday\, July 24 at 10AM \nCincinnati\, OH (7/21/2026) – The Longworth-Anderson Series presents Helado Negro live in concert at Cincinnati’s Memorial Hall on Friday\, September 11. \nTickets to the Longworth-Anderson Series concert go on sale to the public beginning at 10am on Friday\, July 24 at MemorialHallOTR.com\, or charge by phone at 513-977-8838. \nHelado Negro is the project of Roberto Carlos Lange\, a producer and singer-songwriter celebrated for crafting compassionate\, atmospheric\, and experimental pop music. Across his work\, Lange has built a reputation for weaving together deeply personal reflections with broader meditations on the world around him\, often balancing themes of vulnerability\, hope\, and uncertainty with an ever-present sense of curiosity. \nHis new EP\, The Last Sound On Earth (Big Dada\, out November 7)\, reflects on despair\, hope\, and inspiration against the backdrop of a planet in crisis. Initially inspired by the question\, “What will the last sound I hear before I die be?”\, Lange channels frenetic electronics\, distortion\, and echo into songs that capture feelings of dread\, but also the possibility of renewal. Lead single “More\,” accompanied by a video from filmmaker Annapurna Kumar\, explores the paradox of hyper connection and loneliness\, while other tracks confront power structures (“Sender Receiver”)\, protection and cynicism (“Protector”)\, and the balance between nothingness and possibility (“Zenith”). \nDespite the heavy themes\, movement and joy remain central to Lange’s practice. Performing live\, he transforms grief and tension into something freeing\, asking\, “How can I dance to this grief?” The result is music that never shies away from complexity\, but ultimately searches for release and connection. As Lange frames it himself: “What is the last sound on earth? The last sound is love…That’s the sound I hope to hear.” \nWith The Last Sound On Earth\, Helado Negro opens a new chapter\, offering listeners music that resonates on both intimate and universal scales — a reminder that even in moments of uncertainty\, there’s room for reflection\, movement\, and love. \n# # # \nABOUT THE LONGWORTH-ANDERSON SERIES \nLaunched in early 2017 by the Cincinnati Memorial Hall Society\, the Longworth-Anderson Series (LAS) features GRAMMY Award-winning and other nationally recognized performers and bands at beautiful\, intimate Memorial Hall.  This annual series showcases artists from a variety of contemporary music genres including Americana\, bluegrass\, blues\, country\, folk\, gospel\, hip hop\, indie rock\, jazz\, pop\, R&B\, reggae\, soul\, and world music.  Events that are part of the series provide an entire evening of entertainment including pre-concert receptions with live local music\, light bites\, and beer & wine tastings from popular regional restaurants\, craft beer brewers\, and wine distributors.

SUMMARY:Dokken w/Lita Ford Lynch Mob @ Rose Music Center @ The Heights
DESCRIPTION:DOKKEN \nWITH LITA FORD AND LYNCH MOB \nROSE MUSIC CENTER AT THE HEIGHTS \nSATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 19\, 2026 \nTickets On Sale Friday\, May 1 at 10AM \nHUBER HEIGHTS\, OH (4/27/2026) – Dokken\, Lita Ford and Lynch Mob are joining forces for the not-to-be-missed rock concert of the year. Featuring full sets by each band\, the concert will also include a special encore performance by Don Dokken and George Lynch together on stage at Rose Music Center at The Heights on Saturday\, September 19. \nTickets will go on sale to the public beginning at 10AM on Friday\, May 1 at Ticketmaster.com and the Rose Music Center Box Office. \nDOKKEN \nDokken exploded out of the boiling hard rock/heavy metal scene in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 1983’s “Breaking the Chains” with its catchy title track\, set the stage for Dokken becoming the most dominant creative and commercial force in the world of Melodic Hard Rock for the following years. Such classic albums as “Tooth and Nail”\, “Under Lock and Key” and “Back for the Attack” all became Multi-Platinum selling smashes and the live “Beast from the East” went gold in Europe and Japan. Songs like “Alone Again”\, “Just Got Lucky”\, “Into the Fire”\, “In My Dreams”\, “Unchain the Night”\, “Dream Warriors”\, “Burning like a Flame” and “Heaven Sent” are still nowadays regarded among the genre’s finest. \nDokken has shared the stage with AC/DC\, Metallica\, Aerosmith\, Judas Priest\, Van Halen\, Kiss\, Scorpions\, as well as Bon Jovi\, just to name a few. The band hit stadium status in 1988\, playing in front of over a million fans in just five weeks. It seemed Dokken was on the verge of superstardom. But like so many other bands that have come before and after them\, Dokken broke up his group in 1989. \nIn 1994\, the legendary A&R man John Kalodner offered Dokken a recording contract on the condition the group had to be original members. The band released the appropriately titled “Dysfunctional” in 1995 selling 450\,000 copies\, which by the mid ’90s was considered by industry standards very respectable. But just as they were on the verge of releasing a second single\, filming a video\, starting a world tour and “taking it all the way”\, as Don Dokken puts it\, the baggage from their past reared its ugly head\, and again the group began to unravel. Soon after guitarist George Lynch left the group\, he was replaced by Reb Beach (Winger\, Whitesnake). \nThey released “Erase the Slate” in 1999 Followed by their DVD “Live from the Sun” in 2000. In 2001\, Beach was replaced by John Norum (Europe) and released the album “Long Way Home”. By 2003 guitarist Jon Levin came on board with the subsequent release of the albums “Hell to pay”\, “Lightning strikes Again” and “Broken Bones” and has remained with the group for over 20 years now. \nDOKKEN is now Don Dokken (vocals)\, Mick Brown (drums)\, Jon Levin (guitar) and Chris McCarvill (bass).  \nLITA FORD \nLita Ford’s trailblazing career began in 1976 as the lead guitarist of the groundbreaking all-girl punk rock band\, The Runaways\, whose hard rock/punk edge spawned cult classics like “Cherry Bomb”\, “Wasted” and “Queens of Noise.” Additionally\, the band contributed a great Slade cover to the annals of rock with their rendition of “Mama We’re All Crazy Now”. Their legacy was re-ignited in 2014 when “Cherry Bomb” was featured in Marvel/Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy. This earned a Grammy nomination\, cementing the band’s enduring influence on rock music. In addition to the Guardians movie\, Lita’s “Kiss Me Deadly” was part of the 2019 Captain Marvel movie soundtrack\, which had Captain Marvel cast in a female role. \nAfter The Runaways broke up in 1979\, Lita had to reinvent herself. Lita influenced the shock rock world with her leather costuming (thank you Neil Merryweather) influencing bands like Motley Crue and WASP. Even her signature BC Rich guitars caught on with the aforementioned bands. \nShe launched her solo career in 1983 with Out for Blood\, establishing herself as the premier female force in hard rock and heavy metal. Her follow-up album\, Dancin’ on the Edge (1984)\, earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and produced her hit\, “Gotta Let Go.” By 1988\, she had become a household name upon the release of her multi-platinum\, self-titled album\, LITA XX. This huge album was produced by Mike Chapman (The Sweet\, Tina Turner\, Pat Benatar and featured the chart-toppers “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever” (a duet with the late Ozzy Osbourne)\, the latter spending 25 weeks on the Billboard Top 10; a first ever top 10 for Ozzy. Lita is also proud to have been the first female on the cover of Lonn Friend’s RIP magazine – this was also to be the largest selling edition ever printed. \nLita went on to release Stiletto (1990)\, Dangerous Curves (1991)\, and Black (1995)\, producing more hits like “Hungry\,” “Playin’ with Fire\,” and “Shot of Poison”—and earning further Grammy nominations. The year 2012 gave us Living Like a Runaway and in 2014\, including the Guitar Player Lifetime Achievement Award and the Guitar Player Certified Legend Award\, she was also inducted into the Guitar Player Hall of Fame. Finally\, Lita Ford was honored as the First Lady of Rock Guitar at the She Rocks Awards in 2017. \nLita has appeared in film\, television\, and video games\, and her 2016 Harper Collins memoir\, Living Like a Runaway became a national bestseller\, earning her the “Outstanding Writer” award by the Producers Choice Honors. Her iconic and influential B.C. Rich Warlock guitar was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s permanent collection in 2021. \nNow more active than ever\, Lita Ford is extensively touring across the United States and Europe. In addition to her relentless tour schedule\, Lita is set to release a highly anticipated new album in 2026 which promises to deliver the fierce energy and signature guitar work fans around the world have come to love. This new album boasts a wealth of writing and production talent including Gary Hoey\, mixing Max Norman\, and including a duet written\, produced\, and sung with Jean Beauvoir. \nWith a legacy that spans nearly five decades\, Lita Ford continues to inspire generations of musicians—solidifying even more\, her place as an icon\, pioneer\, and true Queen of Rock. \nLYNCH MOB \nLynch Mob was formed by George Lynch in 1989 after the breakup of Dokken\, his long time band of which he was a founding member and main song writer. The band signed with Elektra Records\, and immediately released “Wicked Sensation” which would go on to achieve gold status. The album received much critical and fan acclaim\, and would pave the way for over a dozen records over the next 30+ years. The band is known for its high energy\, guitar driven\, hard rock vibe\, while featuring elements of classic rock\, blues\, metal\, with a propensity for improvisation. The current lineup features Lynch\, alongside of Jimmy D’Anda\, Gabriel Colon\, and Jaron Gulino. \nOn drums\, O.G. BULLETBOYS drummer Jimmy D’Anda brings the band an old school Dr Funkenstein funky\, but heavy back beat. He’s also known for being the pie eating champion of Boyle Heights East Los Angeles 84’. Go Rough Riders! \nGabriel Colón is a Puerto Rican singer who started his career with a band called Fast Taker. The band would go on to release a top 10 single in Puerto Rico’s rock radio market. Since arriving in the states\, he has showcased his wide range of vocal talent with many rock acts including\, Gothic Knights\, Culprit\, White Wizzard\, and Rowan Robertson. \nNew Jersey’s own Jaron Gulino brings the east coast attitude and energy. He has prospered in a long career as the bassist in a variety of bands\, most notably post-grunge rock band Tantric. Gulino achieved chart topping success with multiple releases from Tantric\, as well as performing on many high profile tours and events with numerous other acts. \nLynch Mob plans on celebrating the legacy of an incredible history\, with shows consisting of classic\, career spanning material\, as well as a heavy dose of Dokken material.

SUMMARY:Mariachi El Bronx @ Taft Theater
DESCRIPTION:MARIACHI EL BRONX ANNOUNCES\nPERFORMANCE IN CINCINNATI \nTAFT THEATRE \nSEPTEMBER 20 \nTickets On Sale Friday\, July 17 at 10am \nCincinnati\, OH (7/16/26) – Mariachi El Bronx have announced the You Ése Tour ’26 will visit Cincinnati\, OH for a performance at Taft Theatre on September 20. Support includes Bedouin Soundclash and Max Diaz. \nTickets will go on sale to the public beginning at 10am on Friday\, July 17 at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at The Taft Theatre box office during normal business hours. \nAbout MARIACHI EL BRONX \nAfter a 10-year hiatus\, the beloved Los Angeles trailblazers Mariachi El Bronx are dusting off their charro suits again. The alter ego of punk rock heroes The Bronx\, this band’s unexpected headlining career began back in 2008 after the hardcore group sought ways to grow creatively while celebrating the Hispanic music and culture they were surrounded by growing up in Los Angeles. Although seemingly different\, the band doesn’t see the genres of punk and mariachi as mutually exclusive – to them\, punk and mariachi are spiritually entwined forces rooted in resilient storytelling. “Punk rock and mariachi music are very similar in soul\,” says songwriter and lead vocalist Matt Caughthran. “It’s working class music. It’s real music.” \nWith three acclaimed albums to their name\, the eight-piece has shared stages with the Foo Fighters and the Killers\, performed everywhere from Letterman to NPR’s Tiny Desk\, and lit up festivals from Coachella to Glastonbury. They even lent their sound to TV\, recording theme songs for Weeds (“Little Boxes”) and Aqua Teen Hunger Force (“Aqua Something You Know Whatever”). Returning after a decade away felt “joyous and familiar from the jump\,” says guitarist Joby J. Ford. \nBut recording their fourth album\, Mariachi El Bronx IV\, proved more complex than expected. Within the year that he began writing lyrics\, Caughthran contended with the deaths of several loved ones. Additionally\, as they tracked at producer John Avila’s San Gabriel Valley studio – Avila has helmed all four of their mariachi records – the Eaton Canyon fires blazed across East LA. “We came out of the studio one night\, the entire side of the hill was just on fire\,” Ford recalls. While dealing with grief in his personal life and within his longtime home of Southern California\, Caughthran was also experiencing an enormity of love as he got married that same year. \nThese clashing emotions of profound loss and overwhelming love shaped the album’s themes. The songwriting “started as a battle between love and death but became a way to process “all the chaos of the world\,” Caughthran says. Throughout Mariachi El Bronx IV’s 12 tracks the band document the stories of gamblers\, former playboys\, warriors\, lovers – characters that became vessels for the specific pressures of being alive right now. The contemporary disillusionment with love underscores the “RIP Romeo\,” for instance\, which Caughthran describes as both the death of Romeo as a figure and a culture in mourning. \nThat push and pull is palpable on a song like “Forgive Or Forget\,” the album’s high-octane opener. Amidst its galloping rhythm\, a uniquely hallucinogenic tone emerges from Ray Suen’s violin that complements Caughthran’s lyrics about someone “who’s completely disheveled and a little washed out\, looking back on their life in a way that’s kind of hazy\,” he says. “There’s a little bit of hope there\, but it’s pretty dark.” \nAnother single\, “Song Bird\,” tackles a different kind of terror: writer’s block. Caughthran was going through a rough bout of zapped creativity when the band’s Vincent Hidalgo came up with a pulse-quickening guitar line in the studio. To Caughthran\, the riff reminded him of a hummingbird flapping its wings – the same bird he’d watch outside his writing window. The block faded instantly as lyrics poured out of his brain: “I was staring at another empty page / Feeling every single second of my age.” \nThe fighting spirit of Mariachi El Bronx emerges on the Norteño charged “Bandoleros\,” which they describe as the “battle cry of the album.” At a time when chaos is surging around the world and close to home\, the call to arms that imbued these feelings of courage and righteous indignation. The song concludes on a hard-won note of heroism: “We ride out / No matter how bad it may seem.” \nWith four albums now under their belts as Mariachi El Bronx\, the band still considers themselves lifelong students of mariachi; its members strive to continue progressing in their musicianship while paying homage to this storied artform. That reverence carries over to their iconic charro suits\, which often attract nearly as much attention as the music itself. The band has long turned to Casa del Mariachi in Boyle Heights – a shop honored by the city as a historic landmark – where Jorge Tello (aka Mr. George) has been handcrafting traditional suits for more than 50 years. “This band has always been about learning and exchanging culture through music and art\,” says Caughthran. “That’s what it’s all about! Everything we do comes from the heart and soul.” \nMariachi El Bronx is Matt Caughthran (vocals)\, Joby J. Ford (guitar\, accordion)\, Jared Shavelson (drums)\, Keith Douglas (trumpet)\, Ray Suen (violin)\, Brad Magers (trumpet)\, Ken Horne (jarana)\, and Vincent Hidalgo (guitarrón).

The band’s music—anchored by lush guitars\, tight percussion\, and nostalgic melodies—has earned them attention from outlets like the NPR and the LA Times\, who described the group as “transcending time periods and genres…” The band has played major festivals including Austin City Limits\, Newport Folk & Jazz\, Treefort and has headlined tours across North America and Europe. With growing acclaim across indie and Latin music scenes\, LA LOM now stands as one of the most exciting voices redefining instrumental Latin fusion today. \nThe Womack Sisters are the hidden gem of the scene\, but not for much longer. The Womack Sisters are redefining modern soul with power\, pedigree\, and pure vocal magic. As the daughters of Cecil and Linda Womack and granddaughters of the legendary Sam Cooke\, music runs deep in their DNA. BG\, Zeimani\, and Kucha Womack blend timeless R&B harmonies with contemporary style\, delivering a sound that’s both classic and cutting-edge. Last fall saw the release of their uncompromisingly authentic debut singles with Daptone (listen to “If You Want Me” and “I Just Don’t Want You (To Say Goodbye)” now) produced by soul mainstay Gabe Roth\, with new music anticipated for later this year. With critical praise for “reviving the essence of soul for a new generation\,” The Womack Sisters are not only honoring their iconic lineage—they’re writing its bold next chapter.

Alongside the announcement\, Bareilles is debuting the album’s first single\, “Home” – listen/share HERE. Tickets will also be available at The Taft Theatre box office during normal business hours. \nGood Grief marks Bareilles’ seventh studio album and her first since 2019’s Grammy-winning Amidst the Chaos\, opening a new chapter to her 20-year career. True to its title\, the 14-track collection is a reckoning with loss\, yet even its darkest moments are threaded with an insistent\, luminous pull toward hope. \n“This whole collection of songs felt like transmissions rather than a deliberate attempt to make sense of the world\,” says Bareilles. “My deepest hope is that Good Grief provides some kind of comfort or catharsis.” \n“Home\,” the album’s first single\, was inspired by a conversation between Stephen Colbert and Anderson Cooper about grief and loss on Cooper’s podcast. Bareilles shares\, “It feels like an invitation and a tone setter for the specificity and depth of this record. It just feels really essential right now. In order for us as humans to really know and understand each other\, we have to listen to each other’s stories.” \nBareilles will also make her long-awaited return to the stage this fall for her deeply personal Good Grief Tour. Kicking off September 9 in Boston\, this trek marks a triumphant new chapter for an artist at the height of her storytelling powers. The shows promise a blend of raw\, vulnerable new tracks from Good Grief\, alongside songs that have defined her career and connection to fans. Bringing her signature wit and authenticity to iconic theaters in New York\, Los Angeles\, Chicago\, San Francisco and more\, Bareilles hopes to invite fans into an intimate space of connection\, truth-telling\, joy and some good grief. Tickets will be available starting with artist\, Verizon and CITI pre-sales on Monday\, June 8 (details below for exact times)\, with general onsale beginning on Wednesday\, June 10 at 10 A.M. local time. See below for full tour routing and visit sarabmusic.com for more information. \nGood Grief spans remarkable thematic ground\, all of it rooted in Bareilles’ own experience—from intimate tributes to lost friends\, to defiant anthems for women’s rights\, to unexpected moments of lightness found in the darkest of times. Produced by Bareilles herself\, the album was mostly recorded over six days at Dreamland Recording Studios in Woodstock\, NY\, alongside a band of longtime collaborators: drummer Charley Drayton\, guitarist Butterfly Boucher\, keyboardist Misty Boyce\, bassist Solomon Dorsey\, multi-instrumentalist Rob Moose and co-producer\, recording engineer and mixer Jonathan Low. Later sessions took place alongside co-producer Aaron Dessner at his Long Pond Studios in the Hudson Valley\, NY\, with assists from engineer and mixer Bella Blasko. The collection also features contributions from Brandi Carlile\, Andrea Gibson\, Ingrid Michaelson\, Joe Tippett and Megan Falley. \nThe making of the album was captured in the documentary\, Sara Bareilles: Good Grief\, which will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival this week. The film offers an intimate\, unfiltered portrait of Bareilles’ return to the recording studio with close friends for the first time in seven years—a cinematic document of her creative process that becomes a profoundly personal\, ultimately hopeful meditation on loss\, grief and the power of music to heal. A masterclass in creativity\, community and vulnerability\, the documentary serves as a reminder of music’s extraordinary power to connect us to ourselves and to each other. \nThe album\, tour and documentary add to a landmark year for Bareilles. Her song “Salt Then Sour Then Sweet\,” co-written with Brandi Carlile and the late poet and activist Andrea Gibson\, appears in the Peabody Award-winning documentary Come See Me in the Good Light\, on which Bareilles also serves as executive producer. The song was shortlisted for Best Original Song and the film for Best Documentary at the 98th Academy Awards. The track also appears on Good Grief. \nAbout SARA BAREILLES \nBareilles is an award-winning singer\, songwriter\, actor\, producer\, activist\, and New York Times best-selling author. A two-time GRAMMY winner\, she has also earned three Tony and three Primetime Emmy nominations. Bareilles has sold more than three million albums and 15 million singles in the U.S.\, with over 3.5 billion streams worldwide. On Broadway\, Bareilles composed the music and lyrics for Waitress\, later stepping into the lead role both on Broadway and the West End. Her additional theater credits include her Tony-nominated performance as the Baker’s Wife in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods and a song on the Tony Award-nominated score for SpongeBob SquarePants.
